§ 609.901 — Construction of Racketeering Provisions

Minnesota's racketeering (RICO) provisions should be interpreted broadly to help break up organized criminal enterprises. The law is modeled after the federal RICO statute.
609.901 CONSTRUCTION OF RACKETEERING PROVISIONS.
Sections 609.902 to 609.912 shall be liberally construed to achieve their remedial purposes of curtailing racketeering activity and controlled substance crime and lessening their economic and political power in Minnesota.
