§ 60G.09 — Application

This section says the supervision law applies to insurance companies based in Minnesota and to out-of-state insurers doing business here, if their home state asks Minnesota to supervise them.
60G.09 APPLICATION.
Sections 60G.01 to 60G.08 apply to domestic insurers and any other insurer doing business in this state whose state of domicile has requested the commissioner of commerce to apply sections 60G.01 to 60G.08.

Practical Notes
Even if an insurance company is based in another state, it can be supervised under this chapter if its home state requests it. Domestic insurers are always subject to these supervision rules.
