2025 Session Last amended: 2001 session

§ 62C.17 — License for Solicitor or Agent

Plain-Language Summary

Requires anyone who solicits subscribers on behalf of a service plan corporation to obtain a license from the Commissioner of Commerce, with limited exceptions for corporate officers and salaried employees.

Practical Notes
Sales agents and solicitors must be licensed before selling health service plan subscriptions. Corporate officers are exempt, but independent agents are not. License requirements parallel those for insurance agents.
