§ 94.341 — Minnesota Land Exchange Board

Plain-Language Summary

The Minnesota Land Exchange Board is made up of the governor, attorney general, and state auditor as required by the state constitution. The governor chairs the board, and the state auditor serves as secretary. When the board approves a land exchange, it is presumed that all legal requirements have been met.

Practical Notes
The Land Exchange Board has final authority over all state land exchanges. Its approval creates a legal presumption that the exchange is valid, making it very difficult to challenge an approved exchange in court on procedural grounds.
