§ 336.0A-201 — Saving Clause
Plain-Language Summary
Transactions that were valid before August 1, 2024, stay valid after the new UCC amendments take effect. Existing rights and duties continue as if the law had not changed.
336.0A-201 SAVING CLAUSE.
Except as provided in sections 336.0A-301 to 336.0A-306, a transaction validly entered into before August 1, 2024, and the rights, duties, and interests flowing from the transaction remain valid thereafter and may be terminated, completed, consummated, or enforced as required or permitted by law other than this chapter or, if applicable, this chapter, as though Laws 2024, chapter 93, had not taken effect.

Practical Notes
If you had a valid commercial deal before the 2024 UCC changes, your deal is still enforceable under the old rules.
