§ 13.43 — Personnel Data

Who this affects: Current and former government employees, job applicants, volunteers, independent contractors, and anyone requesting personnel data. Key points: Public data includes: name, actual gross salary, salary range, job title, job description, education background, dates of employment, existence and status of complaints, final disposition of discipline with reasons, and terms of settlement agreements. Private data includes: home address, phone number, date of birth, Social Security number, employee assistance program data, and most pre-employment test scores. Undercover law enforcement officers and certain protected employees may have additional data protections under subdivision 5.
