§ 142G.65 — Employment and Training Service Provider Appeal

Plain-Language Summary

Employment and training service providers that are excluded from a county's service agreement can appeal to the commissioner of employment and economic development. If the provider meets quality criteria and including them would not cause financial hardship to the county, the county must add the provider.

Practical Notes
This appeal process ensures that qualified service providers have a fair chance to serve MFIP participants. If the commissioner approves the provider, the county must revise its service agreement. If adding the provider would cause financial hardship, the appeal process is closed for up to 12 months.
