§ 156.0721 — Institutional Licensure

Plain-Language Summary

This section creates a special license for veterinarians employed by the University of Minnesota who graduated from non-accredited foreign veterinary schools. The institutional license only allows practice connected to the person's university job and is canceled when they leave the university.

Practical Notes
This license is narrower than a regular veterinary license. The holder can only practice as part of their University of Minnesota employment and cannot receive payment directly from animal owners. The university can submit applications and pay fees on behalf of its employees.
