2025 Session Last amended: 2004 session

§ 504B.445 — Administrator

Plain-Language Summary

A court-appointed building administrator can collect rent, evict tenants for nonpayment, hire contractors to make repairs, lease vacant units, and even borrow money against the property to fund major fixes. The administrator must post a bond and is paid from the collected rent.

Practical Notes
When a building is placed under court administration, the administrator essentially takes over the landlord’s role in managing the property and making repairs using the rent money.
