2025 Session Last amended: 2021 session

§ 82.62 — Licensing: Renewal

Plain-Language Summary

This section covers how real estate licenses are renewed in Minnesota. Licenses last two years and require continuing education for renewal. Brokers are responsible for renewing their salespersons' licenses. If you do not renew on time, you cannot do business until the renewal comes through.

Practical Notes
Make sure to complete your continuing education and renew your license before the deadline. If your license lapses for more than two years, you will need to retake the exam. Brokers must notify salespersons 30 days before June 15 if they do not plan to renew the salesperson’s license.
