§ 103D.621 — Drainage Improvements

Plain-Language Summary

This section addresses drainage system improvements in the Twin Cities metropolitan area. As urban growth has changed land that was once farmland, the process for repairing metropolitan drainage systems is simplified. Managers can improve drainage systems with city and town approval.

Practical Notes
This applies to watershed districts in the seven-county metro area (Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, Washington). Improvements require agreement from the cities and towns where the drainage system is located. Aggrieved parties can appeal under sections 103D.535 and 103D.541.
