§ 142G.75 — Family Stabilization Services

Plain-Language Summary

Family stabilization services help MFIP families who have significant barriers to employment, such as mental health conditions, substance use disorders, or learning disabilities. These services include assessment, referrals, and help creating a plan to address barriers and move toward employment.

Practical Notes
If you are struggling to make progress in the regular MFIP employment program because of health or other barriers, you may be eligible for family stabilization services. The plan focuses on reducing barriers to employment while working toward stability. Participants in this program may receive cash payments and are still subject to the 60-month time limit.
